Celebrate Indian Culinary Delights


Together with Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India in Kazakhstan, The St. Regis Astana is proud to present a culinary festival at La Riviere restaurant between 15-19 August 2019 honoring "Days of India in Nur-Sultan" celebrations.

A Showcase of Culinary Masters
This unique five-day culinary sojourn will celebrate the culinary delights of India which are handcrafted by Master Chefs, Gurmeet Singh, and Saurabh Taneja, from The Oberoi, who have been invited to Kazakhstan specially for this festival, together with the culinary team of The St. Regis Astana, headed by Executive Chef Oreste Mancini.

Chef Gurmeet Singh Bhamra

The award-winning Chef Gurmeet Singh Bhamra's passion for cooking was natured into his profession in the year 2005 on his induction into the Oberoi hotels. Chef Bhamra has been in the hospitality and culinary over a decade now with a set of knowledge and skills in Indian, Asian and European cuisine. Currently he is the executive chef of the Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa & Resort Chandigarh.

Chef Saurabh Taneja

Chef Saurabh Taneja, currently working as an Executive Chef with The Oberoi Group, since 2007 has a total culinary experience of nearly two decades, with an enriching exposure in varied cuisines such as Chinese, Japanese, Continental, Thai and primarily Indian. Having worked with prestigious and world renowned brands has given him immense opportunity to explore and showcase his skills. Also, worked under the guidance of legendary Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, gave him an edge to enhance his style of presenting food.

Or choose your spice infused cocktail as you enjoy live DJ with beat box, percussion and guitar music with a backdrop of the setting sun and Ishim River.
